United States: By what unlikely means, three women were acquitted at their trial?

In a minute you'll know by what unlikely means three women were acquitted at their trial.

It happened in 1983 in the United States in Florida. Three dancers are tried for having violated a law of the county where they practice. According to this ordinance, nudity is prohibited in places where food and drink are served. However, a few days earlier undercover police officers inspected the nightclub where these three girls work and found that they were showing too much. More in any case than what the law authorizes…

The dancers are then accused of indecency . In their defense, their attorney then pleads that the panties they were wearing were too large to reveal those forbidden body parts the officers had claimed to see. To support his thesis, he asks the judge that the three girls, dressed in the same  panties , perform in front of the jurors exactly the same dance as that of the evening of their arrest. Except that the judge, who is young and a beginner, is afraid that it will harm his career, so he refuses the request.

It is then that two of the three dancers, without telling anyone, get up and turn around. Back to the judge, they then lift the bottom of their dress and lean forward to show their buttocks to the judge. This one then has before his eyes the proof that indeed the incriminated panties are wide enough not to show anything shocking. Verdict: the three dancers are exonerated and acquitted.

In Pennsylvania, Obama and Trump as reinforcements for the home stretch of the midterms

With three days of "decisive" elections in the United States, President Joe Biden and his Democratic predecessor Barack Obama urged on Saturday to "vote" to protect "democracy", their opponent Donald Trump wanting a "giant wave" Republican for "saving the american dream". During a marathon day of competing meetings in Pennsylvania, a crucial state for the November 8 midterm legislative elections, the 46th (Biden) and 44th (Obama) tenants of the White House clashed at a distance with the 45th (Trump ), before an election that will lay the foundations for the 2024 presidential election. "Democracy is literally on the ballot. This is a defining moment for the nation and we must all speak with one voice," Joe Biden said, under a blue and red light, a huge American flag and the ovations from a room in Philadelphia, birthplace of the American Constitution at the end of the 18th century.
